Sri Ganapathi Sachchidananda Vagdevi Centre for the rehabilitation of communication impaired or Vagdevi School for  short is a  diverse group of children that one finds in the serene environs of Avadhoota Datta Peetham,Bangalore.The diversity is not just in the children�s socio- economic backgrounds but also in their dis�abilities�

Many disorders can affect our ability to speak and communicate. They range from saying sounds incorrectly to being completely unable to speak or understand speech. Some speech and communication problems may be genetic. Often, no one knows the causes. By first grade, about 5 percent of children have noticeable speech disorders. Speech and language therapy can help.

The center provides diagnostic, evaluation and intervention including educational intervention from infant stimulation to vocational training to communication impaired children in an integrated setup. This is the first of its kind in India putting all the communication-impaired children under one banner.
